What to Expect as a first time mom

When I realized that I was pregnant for the first time, I was feeling so excited because i am going to be a mum and I was even imagining  looking at the baby ultrasound and having a beautiful pregnancy life....oh! trust me I can fantasize a lot. When I finally went to the hospital for my first doctor's appointment I was already 9 weeks gone.

I remember hearing my baby's heart beat for the first time, in fact that was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. Then after that the ultrasound was conducted even though i couldn't understand what the crimpy image was all about but it was amazing to see the tiny baby developing inside me, my husband couldn't be happier...hahaha! He was so excited that he was going to be a daddy soon.

WHAT CAN COME UP DURING THE DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT

A urine pregnancy test result was carried out and it came out positive. This confirmed that I was really pregnant and is going to be a mum soon. Several other test was also conducted with my blood to ascertain if my entire body system is ok.

They will also ask me some questions concerning my health background so as to find out if I have any hereditary related illness that can cause a threat to the baby.

My doctor enlightened me about how to take care of myself and my pregnancy. You might be giving your first ultrasound, that is if you wanted it.
A 9 weeks footus
It's not right for a pregnant woman to be stressed a lot because of the delicate nature of the foetus so as to avoid hurting the baby which might also lead to early miscarriage. There are three stages of pregnancy-From 1 to 12 weeks which is the First trimester, Second trimester 13 to 27 weeks, and finally the third trimester 28 to 40 weeks.
But the most fragile one is the first trimester, there may be a high risk of miscarriage if proper care is not taken.
Always remember to take your prenatal vitamins as your doctor prescribed as it helps the developing foetus most especially during the first trimester.
