Baby development during the first month of his life
Congrats to you mom on your new baby and I guess you must be having a great time with him, here are baby's development milestones during his first month of life. In the first month your baby will start to get fussy and cry when he needs your attention, but get quiets when been held, so try and make sure you attend to your baby and find out what he exactly need, it can be either food or just dirty diaper or he just need to be held. Gazing at a distance between a foot and half. Your baby may slightly be lifting his head up at the end of the first month.
Baby's Cry;
In You’ll realize that he listens when you speak, watches you as you hold him, and occasionally moves his own body to respond to you or attract your attention. babies first week of life, Crying is the main way babies makes us know that they need something such as like attention, been held or been fed. And as a mom or dad you have to give him the attention to know exactly what he wants and by that way you teach him that expressing himself is important and worthwhile. A baby likes listening to voices, so please singing and reading books to him helps stimulates him to try talking faster. It also creates a great loving connection between you and your baby.

All babies loves been
held, they enjoy the warmth and loving arms of mom or dad wrapped around them.
That is one of the best gift you can give to him. When babies are born, moms
are advised to give her baby skin-to-skin cuddle for at least an hour. Mom and
baby time is always encouraged in the hospital soon after birth so that baby
can feel that deep connection and it also helps to stimulate breast milk. But
in the situation where mom went through C-section and cannot cuddle baby, dad
are given the opportunity to do that. It is really a fun and emotional way of
connecting with your newborn.

Baby’s
body Change
The baby’s body may
still be wrinkled and this may make you get worried but don’t worry because in
few weeks time they will plump up again. His curled up body while in the womb
may still be affecting his movement because his muscles are loosed up and his
skull is still soft and fragile especially the center of his forehead.
Umbilical
Cord
The baby’s umbilical cord
is still intact and may fall off by the ending of the first week or in the
second week. After my baby was born, the umbilical cord falls off after five
days. It may different for every baby so it all depends. Remember, you should not
give your baby a sponge bath until the cord fall off. I know this is so scary
as a first time mom but it doesn’t hurt. There are ways you can take care of
the umbilical cord and if you notice any danger signs on your baby’s cord
please don’t ever hesitate to call your baby’s doctor or just call 911 for
emergency.

Baby's
Weight
Baby
may lose little weight from her birth weight at the first few weeks even you as
a mom will lose weight too due to the lost of post-delivery fluid, but she will
start gaining them back when she settles. By the time your breast milk starts
coming in, she will rapidly increase in weight so make sure you and the baby
feeds well. Remember, every Breast-fed babies needs to eat at least every two
to three hours, and if you are choosing formula, fed baby three to four hours every
day.
Babies
at the first month sleeps about 16 to 17 hours every day, so all they do is
eat, poop and sleep!. This may sound boring but it is the perfect time for mom
to rest, relax and prepare ahead for the sleepless night ahead. So enjoy your
baby while you can.
